The Thohoyandou Magistrate Court in Limpopo has once again ordered the continued detention of the well-known self-proclaimed Prophet, Phathutshedzo Sikhubu, also referred to as Prophet Innocent “Muritho” or “Ritha.” This decision comes after his arrest by the SAPS in connection with a rape accusation involving a 14-year-old girl at a church in Sibasa, Limpopo.
Sikhubu was taken into custody on July 20, 2025, following the allegation. The court denied him bail, citing concerns over his previous arrest for a similar offense, during which he was granted bail. The court deemed it inappropriate to release him again under such circumstances. The accused will remain in custody, with his next court appearance scheduled for October 14, 2025.
