An Air Indian flight traveling from Thailand to New Delhi had to perform an emergency landing due to a bomb threat. This incident occurred the day after the unfortunate crash of flight AI-171 headed to London Gatwick in Ahmedabad, resulting in the loss of 241 lives on board and additional casualties on the ground. Flight AI 379, carrying 156 passengers, returned to Phuket following the threat. The plane departed the Thai island at 9:30 am local time but had to circle over the Andaman Sea before returning. Authorities have not disclosed specific information regarding the bomb threat. Investigations are ongoing regarding the London-bound flight crash, with the death toll expected to rise. Air India confirmed that only one person, a UK citizen, survived out of the 242 individuals on board the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which crashed into a medical college shortly after departing from Ahmedabad Airport.
